Shah offers Parliament debate as Opposition demands firing answer

A group of students in India was very upset because their exam papers were leaked, and they wanted the education minister to quit.

When they walked from a place called Jantar Mantar to the Parliament building to complain, the police used force, and some students got hurt.

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi asked a very important question: who told the police to do that?

Home Minister Amit Shah said he was ready to talk about it in Parliament, but only if the Opposition wrote a letter to the Speaker by 3 o'clock.

The Opposition said no, because they thought making them write a letter was just another way to avoid answering.

They wanted a straight answer, not a long discussion.

Amit Shah then wrote a letter to the Speaker himself, asking for a discussion.

Other leaders, like Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Akhilesh Yadav, also said the government should be responsible for what happened.

In the end, the two sides could not agree, and the Parliament session was almost over.
