DDA Launches Month-Long Cleanliness Campaign Across Delhi Public Spaces
The Delhi Development Authority is running a month-long campaign to make its parks and sports places cleaner.
It began on September 17, 2026, and is led by Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu.
DDA workers and people from local communities are taking part.
Children are encouraged to learn how to care for parks and nature.
Workers are also checking bins so they can be emptied before they overflow.
Cleaning has taken place at sports complexes and other public-use areas.
About 2.5 tonnes of waste was collected at the sports complexes.
The campaign also added water dispensers, bins for separating wet and dry waste, and signs asking people not to litter.
The Delhi Development Authority began its month-long Swachhata Hi Seva campaign on September 17, 2026.
Led by Delhi Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu, the campaign covers DDA parks, green spaces and sports complexes.
Around 75 resident welfare associations, students, children, park users and DDA staff are participating.
Three initiatives focus on children's environmental involvement, preventing overflowing bins and the campaign’s broader promise for the capital.
The sports-complex drive collected about 2.5 tonnes of waste and included installing water dispensers, steel and waste-segregation bins, and anti-littering signs.
