Yadav Calls MCD Councillor Approval Rule For Parks Regressive

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has made councillor or Mayor approval necessary for some RWA park-maintenance proposals.

Devender Yadav, the Delhi Congress chief, says this is a bad change.

He believes it could make it harder for residents to help care for public parks.

He also says councillors already have many responsibilities.

According to him, the extra approval could slow down work.

He warned that it might create opportunities for corruption.

RWAs can receive maintenance payments and free compost under the partnership arrangement.
