The Hollies End Touring Career After 63 Years
The Hollies are no longer going to tour live.
They had been performing for more than 63 years.
Tony Hicks decided to stop touring because of health problems.
Bobby Elliott chose to retire too because he and Hicks had played together for so long.
They joined the band in 1963.
The group became famous for songs such as “Bus Stop” and “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother.”
The Hollies have sold more than 60 million records, according to recent reports.
Their concerts have ended, but people can still listen to and discover their music.
The Hollies announced on August 20 that their touring career had ended after more than six decades.
Guitarist Tony Hicks, 80, retired from touring because of health reasons.
Drummer Bobby Elliott, 84, also stepped away rather than continue without Hicks.
Hicks and Elliott joined The Hollies in 1963 and were the last remaining members from the classic-era touring lineup.
The band’s last reported performance was in January 2026 in Scottsdale, Arizona, while its music continues to reach audiences worldwide.
