Jharkhand High Court Grants Job to Married Daughter

A court in Jharkhand said a married daughter should receive her late father’s job through a special support rule.

The rule is meant to help families after a government employee dies.

The daughter lived with her old mother and did not have enough income to support them.

Her mother had donated a kidney to her husband.

The daughter’s brothers were not giving their mother financial support.

The daughter’s husband earned only a small income.

The court said being married does not automatically mean she was financially independent.

It found that she had depended on her father when he died.

The Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation was ordered to appoint her.
