India’s New Chip Scheme Could Attract ₹5–7 Lakh Crore

India has introduced a new plan to encourage chip manufacturing.

The plan could attract ₹5–7 lakh crore in investment.

Pankaj Mohindroo, an industry leader, gave this estimate.

He said a smaller subsidy for chip factories does not mean India has smaller goals.

Instead, he believes companies now trust India more.

Global chipmakers had been doubtful about India in earlier efforts.

The new confidence could encourage more companies to invest.

The India Cellular and Electronics Association shared this view.
