Adani Cement to Deploy World's First RotoDynamic Heater to Cut Emissions
Adani Cement, a big cement company, is teaming up with a Finnish company called Coolbrook.
They are going to use a new kind of oven, the first one ever used for making cement in a real factory, called a RotoDynamic Heater.
This special oven will help make cement without using as much fossil fuel, which creates pollution.
It will run on clean energy from Adani's own solar and wind power.
This new oven will help Adani Cement make less pollution, specifically cutting down 60,000 tons of carbon dioxide each year.
It's like giving the cement factory a new, cleaner way to get hot, which is needed to make cement.
This is a big step to help the planet and is part of Adani Cement's plan to stop all its pollution by the year 2050.
Adani Cement and Coolbrook are deploying the world's first commercial RotoDynamic Heater at Adani's plant in Andhra Pradesh.
The technology aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions in cement manufacturing.
This deployment is expected to cut 60,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually and is powered entirely by renewable energy.
The RotoDynamic Heater will decarbonize the calcination phase, a highly fossil fuel-intensive stage of cement production.
Adani Cement and Coolbrook plan to deploy at least five additional projects within the next two years.
