Delhi Metro Stations Renamed for Local Identity and Convenience

Delhi's Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, announced that three metro stations in the Pitampura area are getting new names.

The current Pitampura Metro Station will now be called Madhuban Chowk Metro Station.

Two new stations that are planned will also have new names.

One, called Proposed North Pitampura Station, will become North Pitampura–Prashant Vihar Metro Station to help people find nearby places.

The other, Proposed Pitampura North Station, will be renamed Haiderpur Village Metro Station.

This renaming is to help people easily understand where they are going on the metro.

CM Gupta also mentioned that suggestions from citizens and party leaders were considered for these changes.
