Messi's GOAT India Tour 2025: Security, Events, and Controversies

Lionel Messi, the famous football player, arrived in Mumbai on December 14, 2025, for his GOAT India Tour 2025.

He is joined by his teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul.

Messi is scheduled to attend several events, including a Padel GOAT Club event at Brabourne Stadium and a celebrity football match.

The Mumbai Police have put in place strict security measures, similar to those used during the World Cup, to ensure safety.

This comes after a chaotic event in Kolkata where fans caused trouble due to poor management.

The chief organizer of the Kolkata event was arrested and sent to police custody for 14 days.

The authorities and organizers have different views on who is responsible for the chaos in Kolkata.

Messi also met Sunil Chhetri and Sachin Tendulkar at Wankhede Stadium and Kareena Kapoor Khan with her sons Taimur and Jeh.

On December 15, 2025, Messi will be in Delhi for an event at Arun Jaitley Stadium, with traffic advisories and restrictions in place.

He is also planned to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
