Prakasam Barrage Releases 14,500 Cusecs of Surplus Water
The Prakasam barrage in Vijayawada filled to its highest planned level.
This happened because more water flowed into the Krishna River after continuous rains.

The recorded inflow was 26,024 cusecs, with 11,524 cusecs diverted through canals.
Canal releases included 5,738 cusecs to the KE Main Canal, 5,527 cusecs to the KW Main Canal and about 259 cusecs to the Guntur Channel.
