Crackdown on SUHAM Pharmacies for Unlicensed Operations
The Andhra Pradesh drugs control administration is taking action against SUHAM Pharmacies because they were operating without the proper licenses.
This happened after someone complained through a public system.
Officials raided one of their places in Visakhapatnam and found many types of medicines that were being sold illegally.
They took these medicines and will take legal action.
The officials are also checking other places to make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is important because it keeps people safe from unsafe medicines.
Andhra Pradesh drugs control administration raided SUHAM Pharmacies for operating without valid drug licenses.
The action followed a complaint filed through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS).
55 varieties of saleable drugs worth around ₹80,000 were seized during the raid.
The seizure was reported to the IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Visakhapatnam.
Further investigations and intensified inspections are planned to prevent similar violations.
