Amit Shah Recalls Ashok Singhal’s Simplicity and Sacrifice

Amit Shah spoke about Ashok Singhal at an event honoring Singhal’s 100th birth anniversary.

Shah remembered meeting Singhal when he was 15.

He said Singhal came from a wealthy family but lived very simply.

Singhal once explained that a fancy car belonged to his family, not to him.

Later, Shah found Singhal living in a very small room.

The room was only about 20 square feet and also served as a kitchen and toilet.

Shah said Singhal’s sacrifices helped support the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

He also remembered being jailed during a difficult period under a Congress government.
