Starbucks to Close 200 Stores, Cut 900 Jobs
Starbucks is making big changes!
They plan to close about 200 stores and get rid of 900 office jobs.
This is part of a plan called "Back to Starbucks" led by the new boss, Brian Niccol.
The company wants to close stores that aren't doing well and make the remaining stores better.
They're also remodeling some stores.
This is similar to what the company did years ago to get back on track.
Starbucks is also facing competition from other coffee shops.
The goal is to make Starbucks even better for customers.
Starbucks is closing about 200 stores this year.
The company will cut over 900 non-retail jobs.
These changes are part of CEO Brian Niccol’s "Back to Starbucks" plan.
Starbucks will have around 18,300 stores in North America after closures.
The plan resembles a similar move made in 2008.
