NCERT Textbooks Updated in 2025
The NCERT has made some big changes to history textbooks in 2025.
They want to talk more about what happened and why, instead of just using fancy titles for rulers.
So, they removed titles like 'Akbar the Great' and 'Tipu Sultan the Great'.
They also took out some parts about the Mughal Empire after Aurangzeb and some information about rulers like Raziyya Sultan and Nur Jehan.
This way, students can learn more about the real stories and less about the big titles.
NCERT history textbooks now focus more on actions and context.
Titles like 'Akbar the Great' and 'Tipu Sultan the Great' have been removed.
References to the decline of the Mughal Empire after Aurangzeb's demise are removed.
Information about rulers like Raziyya Sultan and Nur Jehan has been removed.
Changes aim to provide a more nuanced understanding of history.
