CJP launches 'School Thik Karo' campaign with first school audit

A man named Abhijeet Dipke started a plan called 'School Thik Karo', which means 'Fix the School'.

His group is called the Cockroach Janta Party.

He launched the plan on India's Independence Day, August 15, in his own village, Santuk Pimpri, in Maharashtra.

The plan wants village schools run by the government to have benches, drinking water, toilets, electricity and good meals.

Dipke checked the village school himself, and the village leader promised to fix all the problems within one week.

He says that even after 80 years of independence, children still go to schools without basic things.

The group made a checklist so parents can visit schools, take photos of what is missing and tell the village leaders, who should repair it.

Dipke questioned why so much money was spent on big banners for a flag rally when schools need it more.

He wants children to carry the Indian flag to school instead of selling it because they are poor.
