Trump Threatens ‘Economic D-Day’ Sanctions Against Iran Allies

Donald Trump says the United States may impose very harsh economic penalties on Iran.

He also warned countries and companies that help Iran could face consequences.

He called this plan “Economic D-Day.”

Trump says the goal is to stop Iran from getting money, selling oil secretly, or obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The United Arab Emirates said it stopped trade and financial dealings with Iran for now.

Iran denied the UAE’s claim that Iranian missiles threatened ships.

Iranian leaders say they will not restart direct talks with the United States unless American pressure and military actions change.

Oil became more expensive as tensions continued.
