Ahmedabad Seals Nine Hospitals for Operating Illegally
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) sealed nine hospitals in the city because they were operating without the necessary permissions.
These hospitals did not have the required occupancy clearance or regularise their buildings according to the rules.
The AMC had previously asked these hospitals to either get the necessary permissions or regularise their constructions, but they did not comply.
The hospitals were sealed to ensure public safety.
The AMC plans to take similar action against other establishments, like multiplexes and educational institutions, that are operating without the proper clearances.
The hospitals that were sealed are located in different areas of Ahmedabad, including south Bopal, Juhapura, Maktampura, and Sarkhej.
