Delhi University Women Students March for Safer Public Spaces

Delhi University Women Students March for Safer Public Spaces

Women students from Delhi University held a march late at night.

They were protesting the alleged gang-rape of a 16-year-old girl on a bus in Greater Noida.

The march was organised by the Students' Federation of India.

It was part of a campaign called “Reclaim the Night.”

The students said women should be able to use public spaces safely.

They also said safety rules should not unfairly stop women from going outside after dark.

Their manifesto asked for more representation for women in student leadership.

It also requested safer hostels, better emergency help and stronger systems for reporting harassment.
