Indian Navy to Commission Stealth Frigates Udaygiri, Himgiri
The Indian Navy is getting two new stealth ships, Udaygiri and Himgiri, on August 26.
These ships can go far out to sea and handle all sorts of threats.
Udaygiri is special because it's the 100th ship designed by the Navy's own team.
The ships are made by different companies in India, showing that the country is building its own ships.
They can fight enemies in the air, on the surface of the water, and under the sea.
Many people and companies helped build these ships, supporting lots of jobs.
The Navy is using ships designed and built in India, which shows the country is getting stronger at sea.
The Indian Navy will commission stealth guided-missile frigates Udaygiri and Himgiri on August 26.
Udaygiri is the 100th warship designed by the Navy's Warship Design Bureau.
These frigates are capable of operating in deep-sea environments, handling conventional and non-conventional threats.
Udaygiri was built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, and Himgiri by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers.
The ships support the Make in India initiative and the country's maritime power.
