UP Launches Road Safety Campaign
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has started a special campaign to make roads safer.
This campaign is happening in 20 districts where many accidents occur.
Over 3,000 dangerous spots have been found, and the government is working to fix them.
The campaign will run until the end of January and focuses on teaching people about road safety, enforcing traffic rules, improving road conditions, and providing better emergency care.
The Chief Minister asked everyone to follow traffic rules strictly, like not using phones while driving, not drinking and driving, and always wearing helmets and seat belts.
He also asked parents not to let young children drive and to be careful around pedestrians.
The goal is to make the roads of Uttar Pradesh safe and accident-free with the help of the public.
Additionally, the Chief Minister set a target of planting 35 crore saplings to balance development and environmental protection, ensuring that more saplings are planted than the number of trees felled.
He also directed better coordination and timely execution of road projects, with a focus on direct communication with farmers to safeguard their interests and ensure transparency.
A special road safety campaign is being conducted in 20 accident-prone districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Over 3,000 high-risk locations have been identified for safety improvements.
The campaign, called 'Road Safety Month,' will run until January 31.
Key focus areas include education, enforcement, engineering, and emergency care.
