Maharashtra TET Scam: Shiv Sena-UBT Defends Thackeray

Maharashtra TET Scam: Shiv Sena-UBT Defends Thackeray

The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scam in Maharashtra has become a major political issue.

The Shiv Sena-UBT claims that the scam was exposed and investigated during Uddhav Thackeray's tenure, with around 3,500 candidates blacklisted.

They allege that the roots of the scam go back to decisions made during the first Fadnavis government.

The BJP government, however, claims that the scam occurred during Thackeray's tenure and involves manipulation of results.

Key figures like Pritish Deshmukh and Abhishek Savrikar have been arrested.

The Shiv Sena-UBT also alleges that IAS officer Sushil Khodwekar, arrested in the scam, was reinstated, and IPS officer Bhagyashri Navtake, who exposed the scam, was transferred to a punishment posting.
