Odisha CM Majhi launches model schools
Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, started a new plan to build special primary schools in the countryside.
These schools, named after a famous teacher, will have better buildings, more teachers, and cool things like digital classrooms and sports.
The government is spending a lot of money to make 2,200 schools like this.
Majhi wants every small village area to have one of these schools so that kids there can get good education too.
He even remembered his own childhood when he was a student from a simple tribal family.
Many important people were there when he started this plan.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched the Godabarisha Mishra Model Primary School scheme.
The initiative aims to improve primary education in rural and remote areas with better infrastructure and learning facilities.
Rs 12,000 crore has been allocated for developing 2,200 model schools in the first phase.
Each model school will have at least 100 students, occupy more than two acres, and offer classes from pre-primary to Class 8.
The scheme aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and includes digital classrooms, STEM learning, and sports facilities.
