Railways Order Safe Drinking Water Drive After CAG Report

Railways Order Safe Drinking Water Drive After CAG Report

The people who run the trains have decided that passengers should have clean, safe water to drink.

A special government report called the CAG Report found problems with the quality of drinking water.

So the Railway Minister, Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw, and other leaders met and reviewed the situation.

They ordered immediate fixes to make the water safe.

New water cleaning and checking machines will be put in at about 20,000 places, including where water coolers are.

Old water tanks will also be replaced with new ones.

The water will be tested regularly at the source and where people drink it.

Leaders will be responsible for making sure all the cleaning and maintenance happens on time.

Reports about progress and water quality will be shared with the public so everyone can see.

This will help make train travel safer and more comfortable for everyone.
