Andhra Pradesh Unions Welcome 12th Pay Revision Commission Appointment
The Andhra Pradesh government has created a group to review government employees’ pay.
This group is called the 12th Pay Revision Commission.
Retired IAS officer Dinesh Kumar will lead it.
Employee unions are happy that the group has been formed.
However, they worry that the group has been given one year to finish its report.
They want the report completed within six months so employees do not lose money because of delays.
The unions also welcomed steps involving pensions, dearness allowances and health insurance.
They asked the government to keep discussing other pending employee issues.
The Andhra Pradesh government constituted the 12th Pay Revision Commission through GO Ms No. 200.
Employee unions welcomed the appointment but urged the commission to submit its report within six months instead of one year.
Retired IAS officer Dinesh Kumar was appointed chairman after former chairman Dr Manmohan Singh resigned.
The unions said the government had implemented assurances including releasing two DAs and restoring the additional pension quantum.
Employee groups also welcomed the government’s Employees Health Scheme contribution arrangement and sought regular funding and settlement of pending issues.
