Ready-Made Ganpati Makhars Gain Popularity Amid Pune Festive Preparations
Many people in Pune are getting ready for the Ganesh festival.
Some families are buying decorations that are already made instead of building them from scratch.
These decorations can include flowers, leaves, fabric and other colorful items.
They are useful for people who live in small homes or work long hours.
Prices depend on how big and detailed the decoration is.
Artificial flowers are popular because they stay fresh-looking and can be stored for later use.
Small decorations can take a few hours to make, while large ones take much longer.
Customers can choose a design that fits their home and budget.
Ready-made Ganpati makhars and artificial floral backdrops are gaining popularity in Pune as Ganeshotsav preparations intensify.
Stalls in Swargate and Peth offer arrangements featuring artificial flowers, decorative leaves, peacock feathers, fabric backdrops and ornamental hangings.
Ready-made arrangements generally cost ₹1,000, ₹2,200 or ₹5,000 and above, depending on design, size and materials.
Sellers say families in flats, office-goers and busy customers prefer decorations that are quick to install and can be reused.
Smaller arrangements may take two to three hours to prepare, while larger floral mandaps can require half a day or more.
