WhatsApp to Introduce @Usernames for Easier Connection

WhatsApp is planning to let you create usernames, like on other apps.

Instead of sharing your phone number, you could share your username to connect with friends.

The usernames will have specific rules, such as using lowercase letters and numbers.

There will also be a way to reserve your username before everyone else can.

This change aims to make it easier and safer for people to connect on the app.

This is part of WhatsApp's larger plan to make the app better.
