Ancient Gold Jewellery Found in Karnataka
In a small village called Lakkundi in Karnataka, a young boy named Prajwal found a special copper pot while digging for a house.
Inside the pot were many gold jewellery pieces and coins.
Prajwal told the adults in the village, and they took the pot to a temple to keep it safe.
The police and other officials came to look at the pot and the jewellery.
They counted and listed all the items, which included necklaces, rings, and other ornaments.
The gold is worth a lot of money, but the real value is in learning about the past.
Experts will study the jewellery to find out how old it is and where it came from.
Lakkundi is a very old village with a rich history, and this discovery is very important for understanding its past.
The ASI official said that the gold is not considered treasure but rather ornaments that were hidden by ancestors in the kitchen area, a common practice in the past.
