TTD Introduces QR Code Footwear System in Tirumala
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has started a new system using QR codes to help pilgrims keep track of their shoes.
Before, many people would lose their shoes because they got mixed up.
Now, when you leave your shoes, you get a special code.
When you come back, you can scan the code to find your shoes quickly.
This new system is much better and has helped almost everyone get their shoes back.
A company called Coromandel International helped make this system as part of their goodwill efforts.
TTD introduced a QR code–based footwear management system in Tirumala to improve the process of depositing and collecting footwear for pilgrims.
The system was inaugurated by TTD AEO Venkaiah Chowdary at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex.
Pilgrims receive a QR code–generated slip with details of their footwear, including size, rack number, box number, and storage location.
The system has increased the success rate of pilgrims collecting their footwear from 70-80% to 99%.
The project is implemented by Coromandel International Ltd as part of their corporate social responsibility initiative.
