Indian Adaptation of The Little Prince Launched

Indian Adaptation of The Little Prince Launched

The Little Prince, a famous book written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in 1943, has been adapted into an Indian version called Nanha Rajkumar.

This new picture book was launched at the New Delhi World Book Fair.

The book is published in five languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Marathi.

The adaptation features a brown-skinned prince with dark hair, inspired by Indian royalty and Bollywood.

The illustrator, Kuriyan Kuriyan, wanted to create a character that Indian children could relate to.

The adaptor, Anushka Ravishankar, worked hard to keep the deep meaning of the original story while making it fun and easy to read.

The book is recommended for children aged 8 to 10, but the creators say it's for everyone.

The story teaches us to keep our childlike wonder and not to take adults too seriously.
