Indian IT Stocks Rally Despite US H-1B Visa Suspension

Shares of five large Indian IT companies went up.

TCS had the biggest gain and added the most value to its market capitalization.

The companies gained about Rs 56,000 crore in total.

This happened even though the United States suspended H-1B visa processing.

NASSCOM and TCS said the effect, if any, would be limited.

Analysts said companies may find growth through artificial intelligence and by winning more work from existing customers.

They also noted that some customers are holding back on optional projects.

Price pressure and the path of profit margins remain concerns.
