Sudan's RSF claims control of Babanusa
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan say they have taken control of a place called Babanusa.
This is a big deal because it's part of a larger fight that started in April 2023.
The RSF says the Sudanese army attacked them first, which they see as a violation of a truce.
The United States and some other countries tried to help by suggesting a temporary ceasefire, but the RSF accepted it and then attacked army areas with drones.
The RSF has been winning more battles recently, like taking control of al-Fasher in Darfur.
RSF claims to have taken full control of Babanusa in West Kordofan.
The Sudanese army launched a surprise attack, which the RSF repelled.
The conflict in Sudan started in April 2023.
The Quad proposed a truce plan, which the RSF accepted but then attacked army territory.
The RSF recently took control of al-Fasher, the army's last holdout in Darfur.
