Kurnool to Enforce New Construction Waste Policy
The city of Kurnool is starting a new rule to keep the streets clean.
If you are building or tearing down a building, you can't just leave the trash on the road.
The city will now help you get rid of the waste, but you'll have to pay a small fee.
You can call the city and they will send a truck to pick up your trash.
You will also have to take your waste to a special place outside of the city.
If you don't follow the rules, you could get in trouble.
The city is also setting up teams to make sure everyone is following the new rules.
Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) is enforcing a new construction and demolition (C&D) waste policy.
The policy, effective August 1, aims to prevent waste dumping on city roads.
KMC will provide waste collection services for a fee: Rs 500 for a tractor, Rs 1,000 for a tipper.
Citizens and builders are responsible for transporting waste to designated dumping yards.
Violators will face penalties, with increased enforcement through ward secretaries and nodal officers.
