NHRC Probes AIIMS Doctors for Alleged Procurement Rule Violations

The National Human Rights Commission is looking into claims that doctors at AIIMS hospital in Delhi made patients buy expensive brain implants from a private seller.

This allegedly violated rules designed to protect patients from overpaying.

The complaint says doctors told patients to buy a device called a flow diverter, which cost more than what another government hospital paid for the same item.

The NHRC wants AIIMS to investigate and report back in two weeks.

This is because it might be against the rules.
