Bihar Voter List: ECI Publishes 65 Lakh Deleted Names

Bihar Voter List: ECI Publishes 65 Lakh Deleted Names

The Election Commission (EC) in India has put online the names of 65 lakh people who were removed from the voter lists in Bihar.

This was done because the Supreme Court told them to.

The EC says these people were removed for various reasons, like being dead, registered in multiple places, or having moved.

The Opposition parties, like the Congress, are upset, saying this might stop people from voting.

The EC says they followed the rules and are trying to make sure the voter lists are correct.
