Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Makers Reunite for New Show Chumbak
Chumbak is a new comedy show made by the team behind Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.
Instead of focusing on one family, it follows five families living in the same Mumbai neighbourhood.
Neena Gupta and Deven Bhojani play an older couple named Rajni and Kuku.
Kuku often forgets things, including his wife’s name.
He calls Rajni funny names such as Rajnikanth, Ghajini, and Rohini.
Rajni becomes so frustrated that she says she wants a divorce.
This scares the other husbands in the neighbourhood.
The show brings together a large cast and will premiere on 10 September.
Chumbak reunites writer-director Aatish Kapadia and producer JD Majethia.
The Netflix comedy follows five chaotic families in a Mumbai neighbourhood.
Neena Gupta and Deven Bhojani play senior couple Rajni and Kuku Merchant.
Kuku’s memory lapses trigger comic turmoil, including Rajni’s divorce announcement.
Chumbak premieres on 10 September and also features Sumeet Raghavan and others.
