UN: Russia Systematically Tortures Ukrainian Civilians
A new report by the UN says that Russia has been hurting Ukrainian civilians on purpose in places where they are being held.
This has happened in many places in Ukraine that Russia controls and also inside of Russia.
People have been hurt in many ways like mock executions and being shocked with electricity.
The UN talked to people who were held, and they shared what happened to them.
The report also says some people have died because of torture or not getting the medical help they needed.
Russia has not commented, but has denied these accusations previously.
The U.N. reports Russia has systematically tortured Ukrainian civilians.
Torture documented in over 100 detention centers.
Tactics include mock executions and electric shocks.
The report is based on interviews with 215 former detainees.
At least 36 deaths from torture and lack of medical care have been confirmed.
