Shaili Singh’s Hair Mark Sparks Asian Games Long Jump Controversy

Shaili Singh competed in the long jump at the Asian Games.

Her jump looked close to 6.50 meters.

Officials measured it at 6.42 meters instead.

They said her hair touched the sand and made the closest mark.

Long-jump rules count any mark made by the athlete or something attached to them.

Singh was unhappy and checked the video with officials.

The measurement was not changed.

Later, Mengyi Tan jumped 6.46 meters and took the bronze-medal position from Singh.
