RVNL Wins ₹201-Crore East Coast Railway Project
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, a government company, has won a big project worth ₹201.23 crore.
This project is to build a workshop for fixing train wagons in a place called Kantabanji.
The workshop will be able to fix 200 wagons at a time.
The company is the only one that bid for this project, and they have 18 months to finish it.
The company's stock price went down a little on the day this news came out.
Earlier in December, they also won another project worth ₹145.35 crore for improving the power system in trains.
This project is part of a big plan to increase the amount of goods carried by Indian Railways.
However, some experts think that the money from this project might not all be used for building things, as some might go to pay for workers and pensions.
Also, even though there is more money for building railways, it might not make the company very profitable because the profits from such projects are usually small.
RVNL won a ₹201.23 crore project for a wagon POH workshop in Kantabanji.
The project was awarded by East Coast Railway, with RVNL as the sole bidder.
The workshop will have a capacity of 200 wagons and must be completed in 18 months.
RVNL's stock price fell 5.43% to ₹366.90 on December 29.
RVNL previously won a ₹145.35 crore traction power project from Southern Railway in December.
