Ahmedabad’s IKDRC Completes 500 Kidney Transplants in 2025

The Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre (IKDRC) in Ahmedabad did something amazing in 2025.

They performed 500 kidney transplants, which is the most any hospital in India has done in a year.

Many of these transplants were done for free or at a low cost through different government programs.

The hospital did even more transplants in 2025 than they did in 2024.

This shows how hard they are working to help people who need new kidneys.
