ISRO Begins Building India's Space Station
ISRO is starting to build India's own space station called the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS).
The first part of the space station will be launched by 2028, and the whole station will be ready by 2035.
Indian companies are being asked to help build this space station.
The parts they will build are very big and strong, made from special materials.
This space station will be a place where Indians can live and work in space for a long time.
It will help with science experiments and future space missions.
ISRO is making sure everything is built very carefully and safely.
ISRO has begun work on the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS), India's own space station.
The first module, BAS-01, is expected to be launched by 2028, with the full station operational by 2035.
Indian aerospace manufacturing firms are invited to build two complete sets of the BAS-01 structure.
The modules will be 3.8 meters in diameter and 8 meters tall, made from high-strength aluminium alloy.
ISRO is providing materials and oversight, while the responsibility of building and testing the modules lies with the selected Indian firms.
