BJP Replaces Gujarat District Chiefs Amid Factional Strife

The Bharatiya Janata Party changed its leaders in two Gujarat districts.

Shabdasharan Tadvi became the new leader in Narmada, and Paresh Kantibhai Lad took charge in Bharuch.

The changes came after disagreements between party leaders and elected representatives.

In Narmada, MLA Darshana Deshmukh and MP Mansukh Vasava had publicly opposed district president Neel Rao.

The Aam Aadmi Party also performed strongly in Narmada’s local elections.

It won 15 of the district panchayat’s 22 seats.

The BJP still says the changes are meant to strengthen the organisation.

The new leaders must improve cooperation before the 2027 Assembly elections.

Chaitar Vasava’s influence remains important even though he is in prison.
