Kumaraswamy urges Bengaluru residents to stop paying NICE Road toll

A minister named H D Kumaraswamy is telling people in the city of Bengaluru not to pay money to drive on a special road called NICE Road.

NICE Road charges drivers a fee called a toll.

He wants the toll to stop being collected within ten days.

Kumaraswamy is a leader of a political party called JD(S).

The JD(S) has been against this road project since it first began.

They say the project was unfair and had illegal and deceptive practices.

Kumaraswamy said the government is 'robbing people' through the toll.

He asked the people of Bengaluru to support them by refusing to pay.

A deadline of a week or ten days was announced for ending toll collection.

The NICE Road is located in Bengaluru, India.
