BPCL to Dilute Stake in Andhra Refinery
BPCL, a big Indian oil company, is building a new refinery in Andhra Pradesh.
They want to sell a part of this project to other companies.
Saudi Aramco, a big oil company from Saudi Arabia, and Oil India, an Indian company, might buy some shares.
The refinery will be very big and cost a lot of money.
BPCL is still figuring out the exact cost and when everything will be ready.
They hope to finish their plans by the end of February.
The refinery will help make more fuel and other products that people need.
BPCL is willing to dilute a 30–40% stake in its upcoming greenfield refinery in Andhra Pradesh.
Saudi Aramco is expected to pick up a minority stake of about 20%, while OIL may take around 10%.
The project cost is estimated at over Rs 96,000 crore with an operational capacity of 9-12 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 6,000 acres for the project.
Final negotiations on investment will be taken after completion of the detailed feasibility report by the end of February.
