BJP Prepares for 2026 Bengal Elections
The BJP is planning a big campaign in West Bengal for the 2026 Assembly elections.
They will have two big meetings every month, one led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the other by Home Minister Amit Shah.
The first meeting might be in Arambagh.
The BJP also has a website for people to join their online campaign.
They want to stop corruption, make campuses safe, bring new investments, create jobs, and stop people from leaving the state for work.
The BJP is also focusing on the Matua community, which is important for votes.
However, the Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee, has raised concerns about the BJP's tactics, including a rushed voter list revision that they say is causing stress and potential harm to booth-level officers.
The Trinamool alleges that the BJP is using these tactics to win elections unfairly.
Mamata Banerjee has accused the BJP of trying to use the Election Commission for political gains and has warned that she will resist any attempts to snatch away citizens' rights.
The BJP is also deploying leaders from other states to manage different parts of Bengal for their campaign.
BJP plans high-profile campaign in West Bengal with Modi and Shah leading rallies.
Two mega rallies per month until poll dates are announced, with increased frequency afterward.
Initial rally proposed in Arambagh, Hooghly district, possibly on December 13 or 14.
Amit Shah expected to visit Bengal in late December to review preparations.
BJP emphasizes digital mobilization with a state-specific website for campaign registration.
