Apple Begins CEO Transition as Cook Hands Leadership to Ternus

Apple is changing who leads the company.

Tim Cook is stepping down as Apple’s CEO.

John Ternus is preparing to take over that job.

Cook will not leave Apple completely.

He will become the company’s executive chairman on September 1.

At a farewell event, Cook thanked people and mentioned his partner, Mike.

Apple is also preparing new products for September.

These may include new iPhone 18 Pro models, a foldable iPhone Ultra, and software called iOS 27.
