India Signs ₹661.50 Crore BrahMos Systems Deal for Navy Ships

India’s Ministry of Defence has signed a contract worth ₹661.50 crore with BrahMos Aerospace.

The company will provide fire control systems and launchers for Indian Navy ships.

These parts help ships use the BrahMos weapon system, but this contract does not buy the missiles themselves.

At least 68% of the project’s content must be made or developed in India.

The ministry says Indian businesses, including smaller companies, may take part.

It also expects the project to support jobs over three years.

The government says the deal will help strengthen the Navy’s ability to carry out maritime strikes.

It is also part of a wider effort to make more advanced defence technology in India.
