Rudra Mobile Hospital Brings Healthcare Closer Across Bhusawal Railway Division

Rudra Mobile Hospital Brings Healthcare Closer Across Bhusawal Railway Division

Rudra is a hospital inside an old railway coach.

It travels to different stations so railway workers and their families can see doctors closer to home.

This helps people avoid journeys of two or three hours to the railway hospital in Bhusawal.

The coach provides basic tests, medicines and doctor consultations.

It can also connect patients with doctors through teleconsultation when it is somewhere else.

By March 2026, it had held 28 camps and helped 4,321 people.

Doctors found some health problems early during routine check-ups.

The project says mobile healthcare works best when teams plan carefully, choose convenient places and keep good records.

The same idea could use buses or vans to serve villages and other remote areas.
