NCC Cadets Embark on 400km Ganges Sailing Expedition from Farakka to Kolkata
Imagine a big group of about sixty young people from the NCC, like a youth club for training, going on a special boat trip.
They started their journey on a big river called the Ganges in a place called Farakka and will sail all the way to another city called Kolkata.
This trip is a long one, over 400 kilometers, and will take them 20 days!
They are doing this to celebrate a special song that celebrates their country and to show how proud they are to be part of India.
Along the way, they will also help people in towns by cleaning up, planting trees, and talking to other kids.
It's a way for them to learn to work together, be strong, and help their country.
Sixty Naval NCC Cadets from West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate began a 20-day sailing expedition on Wednesday.
The expedition covers over 400 km along the Ganges river, from Farakka to Kolkata.
The journey is a tribute to the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram', aiming to promote unity and patriotism.
Cadets will engage in social service activities like cleanliness drives and tree plantation in communities along the river.
The expedition aims to strengthen camaraderie among cadets and reinforce the NCC's commitment to nation-building.
