Maharashtra Advances Towards Maoist-Free Status
Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, said that the state is very close to being free of Maoist activities.
The government has been working hard to make the state safe and develop the areas where Maoists were active.
Fadnavis gave instructions to set up new police posts in remote areas and make sure that all villagers get the benefits of government schemes.
He also praised the police for their work, which has led to many Maoists giving up their activities.
The government is building new roads and bridges to improve connectivity and has increased the number of mobile towers for better communication.
All these efforts are aimed at making the state safer and more developed.
The central government has also taken significant actions, seizing assets worth Rs 92 crore and reducing the number of Naxal-affected districts from 36 in 2014 to just 11 in 2025.
These actions have led to a significant decrease in Naxal violence and the surrender of many Naxal cadres.
Maharashtra is nearing Maoist-free status, according to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
New police posts will be set up in remote areas to strengthen security.
Government schemes and employment opportunities will be expanded for local villagers.
A one crore rupee reward will be awarded to the Gadchiroli Police for their efforts.
New roads, bridges, and mobile towers are being constructed to improve connectivity and communication.
