Tea estate workers' wage dispute resolved partially
There are five tea estates in Alipurduar district where workers haven't been paid for a few months.
They stopped working and planned to protest.
The labour department had a meeting with the company that runs these estates.
The company promised to pay the workers for two weeks and the staff for one month in January.
But the workers' union is not sure if the workers will go back to work because they want all their unpaid wages.
A local politician also said the government should make sure the company pays all the wages.
